What type of place is Satay?
Satay is Brixton’s premier cocktail bar and pan-Asian restaurant, offering a delectable array of authentic Far-Eastern fare at exceptionally reasonable prices. Our well stocked bar and experienced cocktail mixologists make the lounge area an ideal meeting place for pre or post entertainment relaxation. While our dining areas offer comfortable seating, privacy and seating from one to one hundred! We are a smart-casual venue with a strong team, and take what we do seriously but don't take ourselves too seriously. We pride ourselves on friendliness, with a can-do approach. Everyone is welcome.

How old do I have to be to come to Satay Bar
We are an over 21's restaurant and bar. Please note, if you are lucky enough to look younger than 21, please bring ID or entry may be refused. Our younger customers need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Minors are welcome with a guardian/parent from Sunday to Thursday anytime, and up to 6:00pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

Do you allow children to visit your restaurant?
Children are welcome from Sunday to Thursday. Friday's and Saturday's are especially busy and we do not feel it would be beneficial for the child to visit on these days. Children are allowed to sit in the restaurant area only. We do not allow children to sit in the Bar/Lounge area at any time. Because our waiters are carrying hot food and drink, it is very important that your children are kept under constant supervision. We also ask you to be considerate to other diners.

Do you have disabled facilities?
We have accessible toilet facilities. We do not have hearing loops or signage in Braille. The Restaurant itself is all on ground level. The entrance door allows easy access into the bar and restaurant and we have a friendly doorman in the evenings who will try to assist you. The majority of the bar and restaurant area is completely accessible if you are wheelchair bound.

Is there a dress code?
No as such, but Satay politely requests all customers to remove baseball caps and hoodies. Really naff shell-suits are allowed so we can all have a look.

Do you have music playing?
Yes. We love our music, the atmosphere is vibrant but we are careful not to impede on your conversation. We don't do the 'deejay in the corner thing', and prefer to offer our guests a vast array of music, carefully selected with an emphasis on organic, yesteryear feelgood vibes, from Old-School Reggae, Latin Salsa, Brazilian Sambas, Afro Beat and Finger-Poppin Funk. Please be aware that on weekends, it's very busy and the restaurant is noisier with people drinking fabulous cocktails and eating the best food in Brixton :).
